Spirituality in Medicine: Is OM Concerned with the “Spiritual” in its Medicine? Originally published in AAAOM journal in ’07 Vol#39, posting it here as it remains relevant to the OM profession’s vision and the incursion of “dry needling” by other professions due to the narrowness of our definitions of who we are, i.e., “acupuncturists” vs “practitioners of a natural energy medicine, which reflects on the mind-body-spirit continuum” as our scope of practice.
